About us
The Lumen Sapientiae NGO – Light of Wisdom – is a nonprofit nongovernmental organization, created to promote the cultural, technological, social, and economic development of the artisanal fishing communities that form part of Peru’s marine-coastal ecosystem.
It was established in January 2001 and registered in the Public Registry of La Libertad. It holds RUC 20440141812, with its domicile in Trujillo, La Libertad Region, Peru.
Lumen brings together professionals from various disciplines, who contribute part-time, voluntary, and ad honorem work.
Our Project Management Office (PMO) brings together a team of specialists retired from companies devoted to both the artisanal fishery and the industrial fishery. They teach part time in graduate schools of universities in the northern region of the country.
Since its creation in 2001, Lumen Perú has led processes of research, design, development, installation, and operation of projects for the benefit of artisanal fishing communities and small enterprises in northern Peru.
Mission
Lumen Sapientiae works on the modeling of creative and innovative ideas that lead to the design, implementation, and operation of projects that promote the cultural, social, technological, and economic development of the artisanal fishing communities that form part of the Humboldt Current marine-coastal ecosystem.
Educal
EDUCAL is the Academic Area of Lumen. We provide professional and job training and drilling to our beneficiaries in order to improve the quality of their performance, facilitating their access to productive and permanent jobs that help them leave poverty for a better standard of living.
ISOConsultores
ISOConsultores works on the teaching and implementation of the ISO standards for Quality Management Systems. We specialize in transferring the knowledge required to operate the standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 21001:2018, ISO 22001:2018, and ISO 45001:2018.
Vision
Our vision is to create, design, implement, and operate an innovative model of sustainable development, aimed at eliminating shortages and deficiencies in the food sphere and at reducing the impacts of hunger, malnutrition, and anemia on the children of the country.
